ADHD Coaching
Page Title
A diagnosis of Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) can pose certain challenges. ADHD affects the areas of the brain where our executive functions live (see below for a list of some executive functions). ADHD brains are not defective, they are just wired differently and may actually have some advantages. But, it can be difficult to live in a neurotypical world for those with an ADHD brain. Coaching can help. I specialize in helping older adults (50+) who have ADHD or suspect they might, as well as those who have been recently diagnosed. A new diagnosis of ADHD can cause grief as the realization starts to sink in that you are different and life may not be what you expected it to be. I also help couples who are affected by ADHD - both the person with ADHD as well as their partner (we can work together individually or as a couple). Coaching can help improve your quality of life as you learn to appreciate who you are.
